- If required, prototype inkjet fabric samples can be printed
on 100% cotton twill or ripstop material. This process usually
takes three to five weeks due to the difficulties involved in
color matching.
- If production quality sample fabric is required, the printing
factory requires a minimum of 5000 yards of fabric to be printed.
This also requires making roller print screens (two weeks) and a
minimum of six to eight weeks to schedule to print. A normal
production run for the print factory is 10,000 yards but they
will do 5,000 yards for an additional per yard charge.
- If prototype uniforms are required, it can be arranged to
have them made from either the inkjet fabric or production
quality fabric.
- Any camouflage design ideas and/or camouflage pattern
designed by us is copyrighted with appropriate the payment
schedule and/or royalty compensation applying.
- We would be happy to discuss how we can help to achieve your
camouflage project needs.
- We respect the privacy of our customers therefore we do not advertise the customer or
country for which a camouflage pattern has been designed unless
specifically given permission to do so by that customer.

Can you make me one uniform?
PLEASE READ!
The quick answer is that we are not a tailor shop and do not have any sewing machines.
In addition, we no longer have clothing made for us by sewing contractors as was done
for many years. We now only license industrial size manufacturers to
use our camouflage designs on fabric they choose for their own product
lines.
We often receive requests from individuals to make from one to
twenty sets of a particular old or new camouflage pattern however
making top quality uniforms is not nearly as easy as you might think.
Custom making one, two, or even twenty uniforms at a time, like a
tailor shop, is just not possible. Producing a top quality uniform is a
very expensive undertaking that can cost upwards of $150,000, or more, to
manufacture just one colorway because of the minimum requirements of
both the sewing and print factories.
Take our original "ADVISOR" style uniform
for example. It can be Special Ordered ONLY by
purchasing an entire production run of 2000 sets or 4000 individual
pieces. These numbers are required because you are required to use the
entire special order production run of fabric necessary to assemble these uniforms.
The print factories require a minimum of
10,000 yards of fabric to be printed to make it worth their time to stop
their machines to set up for your very small minimum 10,000-yard print
run.
All available styles of uniforms are assembled in large sewing factories using mass production techniques.
If fabric printed with any of our camo patterns is already available, the sewing factory will make
you a minimum of 500 sets with a minimum of 25 pieces per size. If fabric needs to be
printed then you must purchase all of this fabric (min. 10,000 yards)
and have a minimum of 500 sets with a minimum of 25 pieces per size
assembled.
This also assumes you have selected a uniform design already being made
by the sewing factory. Any changes to current designs or a new design
would have to be approved by the sewing factory. This would also add to
your cost because new graded uniform patterns would need to be made,
uniform sizing and layout samples produced which would then have
to be approved by you.
Unfortunately, making a top quality uniform is not an easy nor inexpensive task otherwise we would
make a few dozen of every new camouflage pattern we design. Sorry, but
those are just the realities of manufacturing uniforms.
Production Uniforms
Uniforms can be manufactured using any of
our patterns. We can merely license the pattern to you and you can arrange
your own manufacturing or arrangements can be made to have a major
manufacturer produce your order. (Minimums apply)
Email us for details.
Pre-production Samples
Actual pre-production sample uniforms can be assembled however, there are
substantial costs involved.
Depending on how many colors are in the pattern, the fabric type, and the
print type, costs could be $20,000 to $40,000 for
one uniform of this
type. The bulk of this cost is attributed to printing production fabric (example
based upon printing a minimum 5,000 yards).
To print fabric, you first need to make roller screens. More colors equals
more screens. More screens equals more cost. Print factories require a regular minimum of 10,000 yards to be
printed. A smaller order of 5,000 yards can be printed but you will be charged a per yard premium from the print factory.
Sewing charges for samples are approximately $150 per set.
Advantages:
- You get the same printing, sewing, and fabric quality as you
would get in regular production.
- Fabric is exactly what you want.
- Colorfast printing.
- See uniform in person.
- Good for catalog photos.
Disadvantages:
- Have to make screens.
- Super high cost for fabric printing due to required print factory
minimums.
- 8 to 10 weeks to print fabric order.
- Sewing patterns needed for style not normal to factory.
Prototype Uniforms
If just one prototype uniform is needed, it can be produced.
This uniform
will not be an actual production sample. This prototype uniform
will be made from inkjet printed (colorfast) 100% cotton twill material.
Costs average $600 to $1000 for
one uniform of this type.
Advantages: Disadvantages:
- No screen costs - Choice of fabric
limited to 100% cotton twill or ripstop
- No print minimums - Colors will be a
little less saturated
- Relatively inexpensive - High printing costs
- Quick printing time, (1 or 2 weeks)
- Sewing style limited to what production line already makes
- Colorfast ink
- Quick sewing time
- See uniform in person
- Good for catalog photos
